A Review of Sonz of Thunder UK's 'Money Talk'
‘Money Talk’ lyrically addresses the manner in which the elevation of capitalism and the drive to make money shapes our values. It is reminiscent of Tarrus Riley’s ‘Simple Blessings’ – calling the attention of listeners to the course which everyone has considered default behaviour.
In defiance of the norm
‘Gonna Be Alright’ finds itself in the league of Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’ and ‘Hall of Fame’ by The Script considering how they all are artistically and lyrically up-lifting. ‘Gonna Be Alright’ dips into philosophical depths in seeking meaning for the human condition. It speaks of love, of loyalty and the assurance of a commitment intended to span the existence of two people who, having stuck together against odds, have weathered the storms of life.

An ingenious tribute to time
Smokingsforcoolpeople's ‘Damian’ is a meeting point of the old and the new, a subtle reminder that the old does not belong in the past and that the present rests on the foundations of the old. The twelve-track RnB album gives off the vibes of the 80s and 90s in all of its uniqueness, and the listener feels the sounds of a moment in time through which music has traveled. We highly recommend it.
A Review of Jesi's 'Therapy at 43'
In the rap industry, it is quite not uncommon to find rap artists who at least at some stage in the course of their career, pick up the microphone, so to say, to spill their minds on issues that go beyond the borders of entertainment. From London, Jesi hits us with the Alt-Rap single, 'Therapy at 43', a musical offering that finds a place in the annals of conscious rap music.
A most relevant release
Switzerland is not known to be a Hip-Hop hotspot, but if The Disciple's new release "Accident of Birth" holds any baring, it might well be on its way to become one. AOB is an album that demands attention for its music production and more over for its lyrical content and delivery.
A Rap EP rooted In contemporary Nigerian musical culture
Review of Nigerian Cyprus-based rapper Masscut new EP release "P.I.N". In an attempt to summarize "P.I.N" in a nutshell, it will be right to tag it as a rap EP rooted in contemporary Nigerian musical culture, and branches out into every facet of the artist’s current environment.
A brand new discovery of great artistic promise
A straightforward story that compels the listener to lean back and assimilate its essence. Possibly, upon looking close enough, one might be bound to find an anecdote in the story, or simply a representation of common realities shared amongst residents of metropolitan areas plagued by the same recognizable ills that beset such places the world over.
Skilled penmanship
‘Drowning in my Feelings’ boasts skilled penmanship. And it being the case that with music of this genre, the pen(craft) is one of the mightier tools, we can easily say that on the strength of its pen-craft alone, ‘Drowning in my Feelings’ sits comfortably above the average score.

With colorism, racism, and identity, social issues, the collective is addressed.

Evolving Into The Mainstream
Ugoccie releases 'Man on Fire', a song off her EP, 'A Piece of Me'. Ugoccie’s ‘Man on Fire’ comes as something fresh and refreshing – completely out of the box. Most striking is the realisation that the song kicks off with the narration of a story – storytelling being a vital quality of a traditional entertainer. This attribute of the song makes listening to ‘Man on Fire’ a serious business.
‘Fantasize’ is a grandiose rant in which Arlen airs his discontentment with his station in life as well as the socio-political climate at the time of his writing, while defiantly daring to dream big. He began writing the song during his gruelling tenure in medical school when he truly began questioning his purpose in life. Lesroy ‘A.P.’ Byers of the Oakville Collective captures perfectly in the production, the sentiment of Arlen’s hopeful helplessness.
Shifting the narrative
In Sitka, Alaska, musician, and artist Nicholas Galanin creates music as Ya Tseen. Imbued in his new record, and across all of his creative output, is a conscious effort to shift the narrative away from painful histories of Indigenous peoples. A review of Fallaf's 'Tekila'
The intro comes on, atmospheric and quite theatrical, setting the mood and building into the song proper. Rhythmic and boastful of a pace that's both instrumentally catchy and flowing, the song captivates and sweeps along, flooding the attention and keeping it afloat at once. Instrumentally, 'Tekila' scores very high in artistic value, way above average.

From Nigeria comes a new track to the Hip-Hop music scene
Titled ‘To U’, Timaya lyrically sets the objects of his message towards hallowed heights. It is a song of reminiscence and praise. ‘To U’ brings to mind ‘Kokoroko’, one of Timaya’s earliest musical deliveries, featuring the late Kafee, which turned out to be a musical sensation, apparently for the reason that it comfortably sits astride Afro-Pop and Gospel and strongly bearing a cultural flavor hard to go unnoticed.

A review of Warren Gallimore's 'I Just Wanna Tell You' (ft. Austin Leeds & E Marie)
Music encompasses worlds, presents them to the listener and leads them along a sensory experience of its lanes and highways in manners that are soothing and unassuming. ‘I Just Wanna Tell You’ does just this. It’s a world being presented to the listener. It’s not the future, neither is it fantasy. It is the past. Listening to the song brings you face-to-face with flavours of a time that’s rarely remembered, drowned in contemporary artistry.
This one is a phenomenal song
‘Tell Me’ is a very expressive song conveyed in a rich vocal tone and accentuated in the mood of the instrumental accompaniment. In every sense, it is your classic RnB deserving of a chance in standing the test of time. It is very tempting to delve into the fine details of this song, and it won’t be out of place to make the attempt. Phenomenal music is one that leaves the listener feeling like they have stumbled upon something rare, like Fumani's 'Tell Me'. We highly recommend you listen and decide for yourself.
For this exceptionally talented musician, the sky is the limit

Inspirational Hip-Hop release
As a musician and a Gospel entertainer, I really and truly believe we need to stand up for what we believe in, Kelley says. We need to come together as a country and stop being divided. I write music just to spread a positive message. I don’t believe in doing music with violence. I have the right music that is good for people to help them understand the positive message I’m bringing. I want to continue to write music and continue to sing positive things in reference to anything that is primarily negative. I want to turn those things into something positive if I can.

Better late than never
A very refreshing Hip-Hop 🤝 Reggae hybrid. “‘Babylon Exists’ - the opening track - is a straight shot at the evil and brutality that we feel from the government and police. This song is an anthem stating that evil is real - and until we all can unite and figure out how to truly put an end to it, it’s gonna live on forever. Babylon exists more than ever.
Ogene music gains popularity on the Nigerian music scene.

Soul Darker Than Blue
The Senior Allstars prove with this release that basically all music can be 'dub-ified', and when coupled to a brilliant vocalist like Ammoye the results add to the legacy of the original versions.
They gave us history, but what about the true story?
Hiding our heritage, to keep us into bondage.
They stole our culture, to say we got no future,
Destroyed our tradition, to keep us into subjection.
They took the natural living and turned it into artificial living.
They took the social living and turned it into socialism
They took the communal living and turned it into communism.
They took the capital living and turned it into capitalism.
About time for a Grammy
In Reggae, all roads lead to the “Riddim Twins”, Sly & Robbie. Now, Sly & Robbie meet Dubmatix. The Canadian producer and multi-instrumentalist got his hands on original Sly & Robbie tracks and spent months crafting this new album, "Overdubbed".

#Neurofunk
Where #DnB can overdo itself and can become neurotic instead of rhythmic, Two-State have found and remain within the funky sweet spot of the genre, ergo #Neurofunk.
This one is an anthem
Don Yute follow up to the hit single 'So Much Love'. If 'So Much Love' was a hit, this one is an anthem.
